What is the Black Eagles?

The Black Eagles are the representative special flight team of the Republic of Korea Air Force, consisting of eight T-50Bs, a domestically developed supersonic aircraft that performs various types of special flights based on a high degree of teamwork. The Black Eagles’ flights are not just acrobatics, but also play an important role in inspiring national pride and self-confidence, and the Black Eagles perform spectacular flights at major national events and international air shows.

The Korea Air Force supports and delivers the airshow schedule by soliciting applications in advance around December and selecting municipal events that are eligible for the airshow. Participation in national events, most of which are hosted by the military, is almost mandatory, and there is a good mix of international festivals as well as local events.

Black Eagles Air Show National Schedule for 2024

Here’s the air show schedule for 2024, as released this year.

The Black Eagles tend to participate in events held in the spring in April and May and in the fall in September and October. In 2024, there will be no ADEX event hosted by the Air Force in Seongnam. Therefore, the biggest event the Black Eagles will participate in in 2024 will be the 2024 Sacheon Air Show with the Air Force in Sacheon, Gyeongnam.
